Available to hire with or without the giant roof speaker, and chauffeur-driven by our very own Jake (owner Dave Wiggins), this vehicle is the perfect addition to any BLUES BROTHERS(TM) themed events! We even have a long-established tribute band to make the event complete. . WEDDINGS: Get the BRIDE and bridesmaids - or even the GROOM and best man to church in an inimitable style! We will bring the car to you, deliver you to and from the church and / or the reception and we are happy to stay and pose for photos with you and your guests for just as long as you like. So put on your hat and shades - It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, a half pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses!

There are just nine Dodge Monaco Bluesmobiles in the UK. Of these, just three are available to hire. Of these, just this one is a 1974 Dodge Monaco Sedan.

Its also one of the cleanest examples of this car in the world.

Whilst it doesn't have the full 440 'Cop' package, this car IS a genuine 1974 model, and it is the Dodge Monaco sedan - exactly as featured in classic film THE BLUES BROTHERS (TM). It's a beast with a 5.9L 360 V8 engine and weighing in at 2 Tonnes, the car is nearly 6m long.

In the original movie, the screen-used licence plate read BDR 529.

We have recently acquired the UK registration BDR 529 M and now have this as the road-legal number plate on the car.

Chesterfield cigarettes on the dash, a broken cigarette lighter, decals from Rays Music Exchange and Bobs Country Bunker. We've gone the extra mile to make this car as screen accurate as possible! We even have the obligatory hats and shades for our passengers to wear :)

Dave is the owner of this fantastic replica, and he has been the Senior Producer of one of the UK's leading BLUES BROTHERS (TM) tribute bands for many years, performing as Jake himself.

Dave has a first class degree in Performing ARts and is currently studying for a Masters in Screen Performance - so he brings Jake along in character!

For 2020, we offer the car with brand new radiator, alternator, brakes, seals and gaskets and it is of course fully serviced. We want the car to be as reliable as possible too! Therefore we take every safeguard to ensure that we stay roadworthy and keep the car as well-maintained as is possible.

Q: What area do we cover? A: We are happy to travel up to 75 miles (Using Google Maps) from Bedford, UK. Q: Can you, the customer, drive the car yourself? A: Sadly this isn't possible due to insurance restrictions. Q: What events do you cover? A: We are insured to carry passengers for Weddings and Funerals only, but can still bring the car to any event you would like it to be a feature of. This means that we cannot carry passengers to school proms, for example, but can gladly bring the vehicle to someone's house for a birthday party or a shop for a static promotional event. If you're unsure, please just use the contact form to ask us. Q: How many seats does the car have? A: The van has six seats in total - so the driving seat and up to five passengers. Q: How much does it cost to hire the car? A: The car is available at either a minimum half day (up to 5 hours) rate, or a full day ( 5-12 hour) rate. This is calculated from the time we leave Bedford to the time we are likely to arrive back. Therefore if your event is quite a distance from Bedford, please bear this mind when deciding if this would be a half day or full day rate. This near-exact replica of The Blues Brothers(TM) classic 1974 Dodge Monaco is available to hire within a 75 mile radius of Bedford, UK. The car is completely road-legal and well-maintained - meaning that we can carry passengers, but because of strict Hire or Reward laws in the UK this applies only in the case of weddings and funerals. This applies to all vehicles which are hired out - if the driver or owner doesn't have a Hire or Reward license, and also the applicable insurance, they WILL NOT be legally covered to carry passengers other than for weddings and funerals which are exempt from this. The car is, however, available to hire on static display (with or without character actors) which makes it perfect for promotional events and much more; we can even arrive at private addresses.
